Anti-gun NFL: National Frauds’ League

The National Football League, which obviously has no problem airing ads for shoot-em-up flicks and ultra-violent video games, has refused to run a firearms manufacturer’s self-defense Super Bowl ad under the guise of neutrality and taste.

The National Football League’s hypocrisy and selective decency standards reek like a post-game locker room. On the one hand, the organization refuses to run a firearms manufacturer’s self-defense Super Bowl ad under the guise of neutrality and taste. Yet, the professional football conglomerate routinely revels in raunchiness, gratuitous physical violence and anti-gun screeds.

Guns & Ammo magazine first broke news last week of the sports empire’s rejection of a commercial created by gun-maker Daniel Defense. The polished paid spot emphasized home security protection and self-defense without even showing or mentioning any of its actual products. But a quick flash of the company’s logo at the end of the ad, which includes a DDM4 rifle, apparently violated the NFL’s high-minded advertising regulations.

14-year-old at the center of “NRA T-Shirt Controversy” now facing possibility of 1 year in jail

Suspended and arrested after refusing to change his NRA shirt. Today, 14-year-old Jared Marcum appeared before a judge and was officially charged with obstructing an officer.

A $500 fine and up to a year in jail, that’s the penalty that Jared could face, now that a judge has allowed the prosecution to move forward with it’s obstructing an officer charge against him.

“Me, I’m more of a fighter and so is Jared and eventually we’re going to get through this,” Jared’s father Allen Lardieri said. “I don’t think it should have ever gotten this far.”
