Best Christmas gift for mom

Christmas gift for mom: written by Billy David Dickson Hi children: Uncle Billy here. Boys and girls is there somebody you want to buy a gift for but don’t know what to get them or you don’t have enough spending money. Well in our story today we will hear about a little boy who didn’t have money to get a gift for his mom around Christmas but ended up giving her the best Christmas gift he could have given her. Listen to it.

Jackie Brown had just finished her third week of

Chemotherapy.

It was taking quite a tow on Jackie. She had been missing a lot of work at the insurance company she had been working at. However even though she was very tired Jackie decided there was no way she was going to miss anymore work.

Mrs. Brown drove as fast as she could from the hospital to her job.

When she got to her job there was a note on her desk that the head man Mr. Thompson wanted to see her as soon as she got in.

Right away she went to see Mr. Thompson. Mr. Thompson told her to have a seat.

“You have been a very hard worker. Jackie when you are here all of us enjoy the hard worker you are. However you have been missing too much work. I hate to do this but I am afraid we are going to have to let you go. I am sorry and we wish you the best.” Mr. Thompson explained to Mrs. Brown.

Mrs. Brown was shocked and very sad. She tried to explained to Mr. Thompson she had been missing work because of her health issues. However he would not let her.

“We have a firm rule about how much work you can miss and you have gone passed that. I am sorry. Have a good day Jackie,” Mr. Thompson said as he walked out the door.

Mrs. Brown had tears coming down her eyes as she drove home.

After being home for a few hours her 12 year old son Timothy came running in from school.

“Hi mom. I had a great day at school.”

“Son we need to have a talk,” Mrs. Brown told her son.

“Mom did my teacher call you about me throwing some snow balls at school? Timothy asked.

“No but perhaps I need to call your teacher.”

“Oh me and my big mouth,” expressed Timothy.

“Timothy I want to talk to you about my job.”

“Hey I thought you told me you were going to be at work this afternoon.”

“Son I got fired today because I missed too much work”

“Mom that is not fair. The only reason you miss work is because of you having cancer. “.

Best Christmas gift for a mother from her son

Below is a story I wrote a few years ago. This year I read it to the kids at the daycare where I work. It is based on a true story I read in the newspaper one year.

Christmas gift for mom : Hi children: Uncle Billy here. Boys and girls is there somebody you want to

buy a gift for but don’t know what to get them or you don’t have enough

spending money. Well in our story today we will hear about a little boy who

didn’t have money to get a gift for his mom around Christmas but ended up

giving her the best Christmas gift he could have given her. Listen to it.

Jackie Brown had just finished her third week of

Chemotherapy.

( More below )

It was taking quite a tow on Jackie. She had been missing a lot of work at

the insurance company she had been working at. However even though she was

very tired Jackie decided there was no way she was going to miss anymore

work.

Mrs. Brown drove as fast as she could from the hospital to her job.

When she got to her job there was a note on her desk that the head man

Mr. Thompson wanted to see her as soon as she got in.

Right away she went to see Mr. Thompson. Mr. Thompson told her to have a

seat.

“You have been a very hard worker. Jackie when you are here all

of us enjoy the hard worker you are. However you have been missing too much

work.

However he

would not let her.

“We have a firm rule about how much work you can miss and you have gone

passed that. I am sorry. Have a good day Jackie,” Mr. Thompson said as he

walked out the door.

Mrs. Brown had tears coming down her eyes as she drove home.

After being home for a few hours her 12 year old son Timothy came running

in from school.

“Hi mom. I had a great day at school.”

“Son we need to have a talk,” Mrs. Brown told her son.

“Mom did my teacher call you about me throwing some

snow balls at school? Timothy asked.

“No but perhaps I need to call your teacher.”

“Oh me and my big mouth,” expressed Timothy.

“Timothy I want to talk to you about my job.”

“Hey I thought you told me you were going to be at

work this afternoon.”

“Son I got fired today because I missed too

much work”

“Mom that is not fair. The only reason you miss work

is because of you having cancer. ”

“Son we will not be able to have much of a Christmas far as gifts go.”

“Mommy that is ok. Jesus will be with us.”

Mrs. Brown then gave her son a big hug.

The next day Timothy decided he needed to do something special for his

mother for Christmas. However he had no idea what to get her and as a 12

year old he didn’t have much money to buy her something special.

Then a thought came to his mind what did his mother want the most.

“To get her job back,” he answered himself.

He got his laptop out and wrote Mr. Thompson a letter asking him to

give his mom her job back.

In the letter he wrote his mom had no idea he was writing it and he

told why his mom had missed so much work.

It was pretty late when he finished writing it. His mom came and knocked on

his door.

“Honey don’t worry about your bedtime tonight. They just said on the news

a big snowstorm is coming and schools are going to be closed.”

“OH I got get this in the mail so that Mr. Thompson gets it before

Christmas which is next week. ”

( More below )

Timothy knew he might be in big trouble if he got caught but

decided he had to sneak out of his house and mail the letter. So he quietly

went out the window in his room.

He got the letter mailed but then on his way back a police man saw him.

The city where they lived had a strict 11:00 P.M. curfew for children.

The police officer put him in his car and told Tim he was taking him home.

“Great I will be grounded until I am 25.”

When Mrs. Brown opened the door she was shocked to see Timothy with the

officer.

“Young man why did you sneak out?” Demanded Mrs. Brown.

“I had to mail a letter,” answered Timothy.

Timothy also told her he could not tell her who the letter was

to.

“OK Timothy Johnson Brown for sneaking out you are grounded

for three weeks. Now go to bed! Mrs. Brown told her son as she gave him a

hard swat across the butt.”

    “Ouch!” Timothy yelled.

A day before Christmas Timothy was still grounded when his

mom got a phone call from Mr. Thompson. He told her about the letter

Timothy had written him and how sorry he was for firing her. Then he gave

Mrs. Brown her job back.

After she got off the phone she went over to her son and gave him a

hug.

“Son the letter you wrote was the best Christmas gift you could

have given me. ”

Children Uncle Billy here. Kids when we do good

others might not be thankful at first for it. Timothy got in trouble for

sneaking out but then his mom was so happy for the gift he gave her.

A Good Friday punishment ( a Bible values story for kids )

Boys and girls Uncle Billy here have you ever thought you were unfairly punished. Well in today’s story we are going back into time. In a time when teachers could punish kids in a painful way if they disobeyed. In our story one boy who didn’t do anything wrong is punished. Listen to it now.
“Drew lets cheat on today’s test,” suggested Timothy Allen as the two 6th graders walked to school.
“Are you nuts my mom is our teacher and she would murder me,” Drew Green answered back.
As soon as they got to school they played outside with their friends. It wasn’t too after they got to school that Mrs. Green came out and rang the school bell. As soon as the bell the boys and girls lined up according to their grades to enter the one room school house.
When Drew and Timothy entered the room they saw Mrs. Green had already passed out the 6th graders history test.
Drew and Timothy along with the other 6th graders as soon as they sat down started working at the test. While the 6th graders did the test Mrs. Green worked with the younger kids.
“Drew how about giving me the answer to number five,” Timothy asked.
“Be quiet before we get into trouble,” Drew told him.
“Well then how about telling me what you got for question 50 ? Timothy asked.
Just then Mrs. Green turned to see the two boys talking while they were working on the test.
Mrs. Green grabbed both boys by the ears.
“You two know my rules about cheating. Now come up with me to my desk.”
She then sat down on a chair and grabbed a switch that she had next to her desk.

Defending another soul: ( a Bible principal story for children )

Hi Boys and girls: Uncle Billy here. Children has anyone in your class or any of your friends ever been mistreated by somebody else? I bet they have been. Well in today’s Bible principal story we are going to hear what a little boy did when another child was being mistreated. Here it is.
“Today class we have a new student joining us,” Mrs. Brown told the 5th graders in her class.
“Is it the 16th President of the US Lincoln. I heard he has some free time now that the civil war is over,” Tommy Jones yelled .
All the 5th graders laughed.
“Kids do you want to go visit Principal Dixon! Tommy Peter Jones do you need me to call your mom again,” Mrs. Brown warned.
“No thanks she would skin me alive,” Tommy answered.
“Students I would like you to meet Robert Franks.
Some of the kids noticed that Robert had a hard time walking.
“Hey he is a crippled kid! Yelled Tommy.
“Tommy Peter Jones that was not nice at all. You can now go and put your nose in the corner for a time out. And I will be calling your mom.” Mrs. Brown said.
“Boy my butt is going to be soar after my mom gets her spanking spoon out. Tommy says to himself as he walks to the corner.
The next day at school during lunch when Robert Franks is walking with his food tray Tommy Jones put his foot out and trips him. Robert falls and his food goes flying everywhere. Drew Green watched the whole thing but did nothing.
“Too bad you can’t walk on your other foot,” Tommy yelled.
All the fifth graders laughed.
Robert got red in the eyes and runs off to be by himself.
After lunch Mrs. Brown was not happy at all.
She told the fifth grade class laughing at somebody is not nice to do. Then she gave the whole fifth grade class a time out by having them all put their heads down on their desks.
Drew Green thought it was unfair that he and some of the others got punished even though they did nothing wrong.

Wrong people: ( Bible Principal for children 12-4-14 )

Hi Boys and Girls: Uncle Billy here. Children have you ever gotten in trouble because somebody led you the wrong way. That is what happens to a young man in our story today. Here it is.
It was the first day of school and Jeff Reid was getting home two hours late.
“Young man where have you been! School was over two hours ago!” Demanded Mrs. Reid.
“Well I got into a little trouble and got a detention,” Jeff explained.
“I don’t believe it!” Jeff’s mom lectured her son.
“Hey other kids get detentions too including my big brother and little sister,” replied Jeff.
“It is the first day of school!” Most kids don’t get in trouble until later in the year.”
“I guess I am a fast learner.”
“Jeff today was your first day of middle school. I don’t want you getting into trouble like you did last year in 5th grade. Young man do I make myself clear?”
“Yes mom!”
Ok good. If you get in anymore trouble you will have to answer to me for it.
The next day at school Jeff’s friend Bobby Nelson told Jeff he had a great idea for a trick they could play on the girls gym class.
“What is the trick?” Jeff asked.
“While the 6th grade girls are in swimming class we will turn on all the showers in the girl’s locker room,”Bobby explained.
“OK that sounds like a fun idea.”

Making things right ( a Bible principal for children 11-26-14 )

Hi children: Uncle Billy here. Kids have you ever done something wrong to another person that you had to do something to make it right. That is what our story is about today.
Here it is.
“Girls time for breakfast,” Mrs. Wood yelled up to her daughters.
Brin and her older sister Allison came running to the kitchen. Brin almost ran into her mom who had a plate full of food in her hands.
“Brin what have I told you about running in the house,” Mrs. Wood lectured her daughter.
“Sorry mom. I just wanted to eat some of your great cooking,” Brin expressed.
“I know you are just trying to suck up. Now go sit down at the table,” Brin’s mom told her as she gave her daughter a hard slap across the behind.
“Mom you know I am a 9th grader now. Well Mr. Fred at the corner drugstore told me if you gave me your permission I could start working for him. So can I?” Allison asked.
“I guess you are old enough but if your school work suffers you will have to quit,” Mrs. Wood expressed.
“Yes I know. Thanks mommy.”
That day at school Jill Duck another 7th grader came up to Brin and suggested she joined the secret club she belonged to. So after school Brin went to a meeting the club had.
The head of the club Jean Walker told Brin their club was a cool club but to join it she would have to steal a watch from Mr. Fred’s drugstore. A few days later Brin talked Jill into going to the drug store with her. They just happened to pick a day when Allison was working.
As soon as they walked into the store Jill pointed out where the watches were. As soon as Allison’s back was turned Brin grabbed a watch and slipped it into her pocket. Then the two girls quickly left the store.

Cheating to lose and win ( a Bible principal for children 11-19-14 )

20141119-162415-59055070.jpg

Hi kids: Uncle Billy here. Children has anyone ever asked you to not do your best at something so he or she will look better. That is what happens in our story today. Here it is.
“Billy Joe are you ready for the baseball season to start?” John Smoke asked as the two 7th graders walked home after school.
“Yes and my arm is 100% back to normal from when I broke it last year,” Billy Joe answered.
“Are you worried that your girl friend Brin Wood’s team at the YMCA is going to beat you and your team?”
“How do you know I like her?”
“Anyone with eyes Billy Joe can see you like her. The way you are always joking with Brin. You should ask her to be your girl friend,” suggested John.
“John I think I will.”
That night Billy Joe went over to Brin’s house and asked if they could become boy and girl friend. Billy Joe was very happy when Brin told him she would like that.
After that Billy Joe did not spend much time with Brin because they both got busy playing baseball. They both did a great job pitching and both of their teams won their first five games setting up an important game between Billy Joe’s Dodges and Brin’s team the Cubs.
“I hear Brin’s fast ball is very hard to hit,” John explained to Billy Joe.
“Yes it will be hard to beat the Cubs,” Billy Joe agreed.
“I have an idea. Why don’t you ask Brin since she is your girl friend to pitch easy balls to you that you can hit.”

Too many 6th grade promises

Hi children: Uncle Billy here. So boys and girls how would you feel if somebody in your class was given some kind of position at your school and he or she didn’t keep their promises. Well in today’s Bible principal story we are going here about a little boy who did that. Here is the story.
“OK class quiet down,” Mr. Rogers ordered his 6th grade class.
Most of the class quiet down.
“How about we party until 3:00 P.M.” Billy Joy Rock said as he danced in his seat.
“Billy Joe do you need to stand in the corner and should I call your mom?” Mr. Rogers asked.
“Sir I am sorry,” Billy Joe replied.
“Class today you will decide who the candidates are that will run for Class President and then they will have a week to outline their ideas. Then one week from today you will decide who the 6th grade class president is.
A few kids suggested Billy Joe. So Mr. Rogers wrote Billy’s name on the board.
” I guess I could be president as long as I am not needed in congress,” yelled Billy Joe.
Everyone in the class laughed. Mr. Rogers told the kids to quiet down and they all did. Two other kids besides Billy Joe Rock were named Jack Stone, and Mary Ruler.
After school that day Billy Joe went out and encouraged other 6th graders to vote for him.
He told Jeff Reid if you vote for me I will help you anytime you need it.
A girl named Jill was having trouble with her Math class so Billy Joe who was very smart at Math told her he would help her study.
Before Billy Joe had left to go home he had made so many promises that he could not recall them all. He did the same thing through out the rest of the
campaign.
Then it was Election Day and Billy Joe was elected in a vote that was not even close.
Right after school that day the 6th grader Jill came to him and said they were having a big test in Math class next week and she needed his help to study.
“Jill I am sorry but I won’t be able to help you,” Billy Joe told Jill.
“If I don’t get your help I for sure will fail this test and then my parents will kill me. You promised me you would help me.”
“Jill that is just part of the campaign.”
Jill went away crying.
