Love doesn’t always mean saying yes and we should think of what is best for the baby

A Gretna woman serving as the gestational surrogate for her son and his husband gave birth to her granddaughter at 6:06 a.m. on Monday.

After carrying her granddaughter for nine months, Cecile Eledge, 61, delivered five pounds, 13-ounce Uma Louise Dougherty-Eledge at Nebraska Medical Center.

When her son Matthew Eledge and his husband Elliot Dougherty looked to expand their family, Cecile Eledge didn’t hesitate.

“There was no moment of hesitation. It was natural instinct.” Cecile Eledge said.

Cecile Eledge underwent several tests with doctors ultimately determining her a candidate to serve as a gestational surrogate for Matthew Eledge and Dougherty.

( Billy’s thoughts – Love doesn’t always mean saying yes to your children. Also think about what this baby needs  not two fathers but a mommy and daddy. This is wrong. And should not be endorsed by anyone.
