Who MEMORIAL Day is for, and who the holiday is not for

Happy Memorial Day. I hope you are having a good one.
I want to write this in a respectful way. I believe on special days, or every day for that matter we should honor those who are serving, or have served in the military. However today is Memorial Day. Too many folks want to make it about those who served or are serving. The truth is Memorial Day is about honoring those who paid the supreme price. Gave up their lives. Most of them too young to die, but they did see their lives end, in a honorable way.
Today lets honor those who gave up their lives in a honorable way, fighting so we, and others could be free.
Cal Thomas talked about this in his radio commentary today. If you like you can listen to it. Or you can read it.
